Shady Habash, is an Egyptian film-maker, photographer and director has been detained in march 2018 for directing a Sarcastic Video called " Balaha" mocking the Egyptian President Abdel-Fatah El-Sisi for the Exiled Singer Ramy Essam who now lives in Sweden.
The music video showed Ramy essam dancing and criticizing the rule of the Egyptian president referring to him as date or “Balaha” which is a common Nickname for the president among his Egyptians subjects.
The Music video was released on February 2018 and it went viral all over Social Media which caused Egyptian Authorities to act.
Shady Habash has been detained without a trial for more than two years and he passed away in his cell at Tora's prison on the 3rd of may 2020, leaving everyone in grief.
